If two books have the same isbn but different copyright or publication years, is it the same book still?

i want to buy my textbooks online instead of from the campus bookstore but the bookstore website only gives the copyright year (2010) and barns and noble only gives out the publication year (2009)... does that matter? is it the same book as long as the isbn is the same?If two books have the same isbn but different copyright or publication years, is it the same book still?
If you are buying directly from B%26amp;N (not an individual seller on B%26amp;N), yes it should still be the same book -- an ISBN refers to a particular edition of a particular book. Different editions of a book will have different ISBNs. You can always check to see if both the bookstore and B%26amp;N listings have the same edition #, or stop by the bookstore just to make sure of the date of publication. If two books have the same isbn but different copyright or publication years, is it the same book still?
The newer book may have been edited or stuff added or deleted. You'd have to ask the teacher if the book is OK.If two books have the same isbn but different copyright or publication years, is it the same book still?
I would assume that the new book would be slightly changed, but you can never know...maybe its the same but i doubt it
