What does "server to busy" mean?

For the last two days I have been trying to buy and download books from Barns and Noble but it keeps saying the server is to busy. What does that mean? Is it a problem with my computer or the Barns and Noble website? What does "server to busy" mean?
It's probably the Barnes %26amp; Noble server: overwhelmed by people buying e-books as last-minute Christmas gifts, or redeeming gift cards.

Give it a day or so. I don't think there's anything wrong with your computer.
You and 10 million other people got Nooks for Christmas and you're all trying to download books. Give it a few days. (It's not you, it's the season - everything on the internet slows down from Christmas to the first work day of the new year. It's been like this for years.)What does "server to busy" mean?
That's on Barns %26amp; Noble's side. Websites run on servers, and if there is too much traffic, there is not enough bandwidth for everyone to get through. What does "server to busy" mean?
B%26amp;N's server is just too busy. Can only handle so many at a time. Lots of sites are that way especially right at or after Christmas when so many get their new "toys".
its like a door. too many people trying to go thru there not all gonna fit..
