Note: You must be at least 16 years old to work at Barnes %26amp; Noble. If you are 16 or 17 years old, you may also need working papers. Please check with your state department of labor for details about the minimum age requirement to obtain working papers. Thank you.
How old do you have to be to work in any other store where you live? The law should specify a minimum age for working full time. I can't imagine Barnes and Noble would be any different.

It would be illegal for them to employ you if you were younger than the minimum, and if they made you wait until you were older than the minimum, they'd be shutting themselves off from potential employees - you might go and work for another bookstore, and not come back when you were old enough for B%26amp;N.How old do you have to be to work at barnes and noble?
It depends on what state you're living in and what the age minimum is there. Some states require that you get a "Minors working permit" in order to work somewhere that a 16 year old can work. However, if you have to be 18, then the permit won't get you anywhere. But, some other states however hire at 14 or 15.How old do you have to be to work at barnes and noble?

My friend's told me that during the summer (I don't know if it's all-year-round...) you can start working at 16. That's what I plan on doing: Summer job at Barnes %26amp; Noble :) You're good!
