Should College Bookstores be run by Barns & Noble or should they be non-profit departments?

Wehn I was in college, my school ran its own bookstore, and I have been back since - the B/N one is much nicer and better stocked.

What would be the point of a non-profit? cheaper books? Buy used.

Actually a nonprofit might have higher prices because they won't have the buying power B/N has, and they will have the same if not higher operating expenses.Should College Bookstores be run by Barns %26amp; Noble or should they be non-profit departments?
why is it hard to find used textbooks? hello internet! Amazon? ebay? abebooks? a zilllion others?

As a student about to start her undergrad at UF, I'm not too sure on how to answer this question. It is more than obvious that text books are outlandish expensive and it VERY hard to find affordable or used text books. All I have to say is, they should definitely be cheaper no matter what we have to do!!
