Can you buy books from other places than barns and noble for the nook?

Im trying to decide between a Kindle and a Nook Color for Christmas. I like the nook a lot better because it has color and games and music and more personalized settings, but I am quite limited on the selection of teen books while the Kindle has a numerous amount of teen books so I would like to know if I can get more books than offered.|||The other answer is incorrect - the Nook can read ePub files, which is the standard for eBook reading, so it can read most non-Kindle books in the Internet including those with DRM through Adobe Digital Editions. In addition, it can read PDB and PDF files.|||Nope. You can only get books for the Kindle from Amazon and you can only get books for the Nook from Barnes and Noble.
