Both Barnes and Nobles and Borders have a bargain section. Try looking in the bargain section, there are normally some good, cheap books there. Also, Borders has a rewards program where if you sign up you get discounts on books, CDs, DVDs, etc.

You could always try looking at the library.
look for a used book store near you...i got a book i needed for english for $2I need to buy cheap books and need it in a day and not ONLINE?? Where to buy people?

Half Price Books. They have just about the best deals around.
Second-hand shops will surprise you with some gems for cents in their usually overflowing book sections.

Some libraries have used book stores where they sell good copies of good books for a couple of dollars (mine is right across from the check-out desk).

And of course if you hit the right yard sale, you may find your heart's desire.

Good luck--
flea markets sell wonderful books for cheap most of the time and used book stores salvation army are plentiful with books, most under 3 dollars...happy reading......
Thrift stores are cheap, and the library's used book sale is even cheaper. My library has a store that's open every day. Of course, garage sales are the winner, but in places with winter, those aren't happening now.
got to borders and look for the bargain cart, or at the library. there's usually a cart full of used books up to $2 there.
See if your library has a sale section. I work at a library where people can donate books....we sell them for .50 a piece for paperbacks and $1.00 for hardback books...or 10 for $1.00 romances.
Half Price Books if there is that store in your area.
You don't have used book stores in your town?

Why can't you go to the library?
